We invited educators world wide to join in the celebration of Global Learn Day. Whether in a classroom, at school, in a library or at a museum we acknowledged mankind's accomplishments as we came together as one people to celebrate our learning. The Mission of Global Learn Day is four fold:
- To cause, worldwide, a celebration of learning - The "Earth Day" of Education
- To increase and accelerate affordable access to education, worldwide
- To promote the importance of learning
- To foster the notion that this is one planet and we are one people
The Concept
The Concept of Global Learn Day is to:
- Build on previous Learn Days
- Foster local Global Learn Day events world-wide
- To promote the importance of learning
- To foster the notion that this is one planet and we are one people
Who Can Participate
Anyone who is interested in education and learning. In addition these particular organizations are urged to join in promoting Global Learn Day, and hold an event or a week long series of events leading up to Global Learn Day.:
- Schools
- Libraries
- Museums
- Education companies
- Learning and training innovators
