This course is a short sample of the actual conversion course.  We included the complete first couple of Units, and the headers for the rest of the course.

Pre-Requisite: Student must have completed at least one (1) year within the last four (4) years of responsible insurance duties as a licensed and appointed 4-40 (Customer Representative), or a Personal Lines Agent (20-44), or a Service Representative (0-55) before applying for your 2-20 license with this course.

Welcome to OnLine Training's 40 hr 4-40 to 2-20 General Lines Conversion - Pre-Licensing Course. You will enjoy being able to study when you want, what you want and for as long as you want. With this online course, you control your progress and we ensure you are exposed to all the information you will need to be successful not only on the course final exam, but also as a new agent.

    Lessons, Quizzes, and Final Exams

This course is structured with the right content, delivered in small quantities, with learning assured through frequent fill-in-the-blank questions, elements of information emphasized and instructor guided learning. Several tools are provided to make your learning straightforward and comprehensive.

Your course contains Lessons, Quizzes and a Final Exam.

Each Unit starts with 1 or more lessons.  Most pages in a lesson will contain testable content, and there will also be pages with questions about previous lesson content.   Many of the questions in each Lesson (not quizzes) are short answer questions.  We use them because they are better at helping you remember what you are learning than Multiple Choice or True/False questions.

The software requires you to type in an answer, please don't leave it blank. If the software doesn't recognize your answer due to spelling, capitalization or punctuation differences (or extra spaces), you will be asked to compare your answer to the correct answer. This does not always mean that you gave a completely wrong answer.  We will tell you what answer we consider correct.  Please compare the two answers and then use our answer. Remember computers are only artificial intelligence, and see any slight misspelling as a wrong answer, including adding or omitting a space, an "s" or "ed".

Some questions will be accompanied by a note that clarifies how an answer should be given in order for it to be marked as correct.

The Lessons’ response to your answer are frequently accompanied by “Notes” and/or “Remembers” that share information related to the question and answer or give a hint for the next question.

Lessons are not graded (the grade shown is for your information only). Lessons should be repeated as often as possible until you are confident you know the material. There is one quiz per unit. We suggest that you should have at least a 90% score on the Unit Quizzes to learn the material thoroughly and do well on the Final Exam. We encourage you to attempt the quizzes as many times as you wish. Your highest score will be used. Quizzes combined together are worth 50% of your final grade and the Final Exam is the other 50%. Your final course grade average must be at least a 70% to pass the course.

It is highly recommended that you thoroughly understand the material before attempting the Course Final Exam as you will need a score of 70% or higher to pass. The Course final exam is worth 50% of your grade. A classroom course gives you one attempt at a Final Exam, we give you two attempts. (If you fail the first attempt, you will be allowed a second attempt after 16 hours. If you fail the second attempt, you will have failed the course and no additional attempts will be permitted. You will need to contact OnLine Training or the college that you registered through if you wish to re-enroll in this course.)

Once you complete the entire course, click on, fill out AND submit your Grade Submittal Form so that your information can be forwarded to OnLine Training and your completion reported to the Florida Department of Financial Services (OnLine Training will also mail/email your Certificate of Completion to you). Keep in mind, you will be required to re-purchase the course if you do not pass the final exam with a 70% or higher on one of the two attempts. Please allow up to thirty (30) business days to receive your Certificate of Completion.

Here's an example of how to navigate around in the course. For instance, Unit 5 includes sections 5.1 through 5.4e. In the course outline you will see two lessons plus the unit exam under Unit Five. Unit Five Lesson One contains sections 5.1 - 5.2f, and Lesson Two contains 5.2g - 5.4e. Every unit in the course is arranged in a similar manner. You just need to proceed through each lesson to find all the sections.
