6-20 Accredited Claims Adjuster Designation (Pre-licensing) Course

This Florida All-Lines Adjuster designation (prelicensing) course covers the areas of Property and Liability Insurance Concepts, Personal Automobile Policy, Business Auto Policy and Mechanical Breakdown Coverage, Homeowner Policies, Personal Inland Marine and Flood Insurance, Boiler and Machinery Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, Health Insurance, and more. There are three common uses of the 6-20 license:

An "independent adjuster" means a person licensed as an all-lines adjuster who is self-appointed or appointed and employed by an independent adjusting firm or other independent adjuster, and who undertakes on behalf of an insurer to ascertain and determine the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract or undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage.

A "company employee adjuster" means a person licensed as an all-lines adjuster who is appointed and employed on an insurer's staff of adjusters or a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurer, and who undertakes on behalf of such insurer or other insurers under common control or ownership to ascertain and determine the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under a contract of insurance, or undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage.

A “public adjuster apprentice” is a person who is licensed as an all-lines adjuster and is appointed and employed by, or has a contract with, a licensed and appointed all lines public adjuster in good standing with the department or a public adjusting firm that employs at least one licensed and appointed all lines public adjuster in good standing with the department to assist in ascertaining and determining the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract, or who undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage. After being licensed and appointed for at least six months as a public adjuster apprentice, you may take the 3-20 State Exam and become a licensed 3-20 Public Adjuster.

This is a Florida-approved 6-20 Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) designation course, which functions like a pre-licensing course (you must take it before getting your license). This course waives the 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster State exam!

No Classroom Required. The entire course is available online, including the Final Exam, from anywhere you have access to the internet. This course is designed to prepare a student to become a licensed 6-20 All-Lines Claims adjuster without the loss of production income and time. Work at your own pace with your instructor available by email, posts in the forum, Moodle messaging or by telephone. It is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for the Accredited Claims Adjuster designation course.

Why Choose Courses from OnLine Training?

Courses from OnLine Training use a proven instructional methodology that ensures learning through research-based pedagogy that gives you small doses of information and then asks you a question on that material that you must answer. This process keeps you engaged in the learning process and helps you drill the concepts with many questions throughout the course - on almost every lesson page, with quizzes at the end of each unit, and a Final Exam that you must pass with a 70% or higher. Lessons and quizzes may be repeated as many times as desired to improve your learning, the highest quiz grade is always kept for your records (lesson scores are not counted in the final grade score). OLT pre-licensing courses allow you to take the final exam a second time, if you do not pass it the first time or desire a higher score.
