I passed the state exam today with an 82. There isn't really a whole to say about it. I thought it was pretty easy. They tested a lot of concepts and definitions.
Don't over analyze the questions, they are straight forward and aren't trying to trick you. They are much easier than the quizzes and course questions. More general then specific.
Your welcome. I have been working in the insurance industry for over 3 years and had a 20-44 license. But yes the State Exam was much better than the course. There weren't any typos or errors. Good luck!
Hey Marty, There wasn't a a big focus on those areas. Maybe 1-2 questions total. It was more definitions. Know the definitions of between HMO and PPO.
I think the biggest area on the exam was Property & Casualty terms and concepts. It is more important to understand all the material than memorization. If that makes any sense.
Not sure the best way to break into the insurance business is. Its tough. Where in FL do you live? I started my insurance career in NY working for a large auto insurance company in a call center, then got lucky with the job at an agency in FL.
Congrats! Thank you so much for your feedback! And I am happy to hear the questions are straight forward and not tricky. I have my 2-15 and that state exam was hard and the questions were tricky. You had to read them very carefully. In the midst of studying for the 2-20 exam. I am scheduled to take it on 5/28.
Congratulations Hope!!! Thanks for sharing and encouragement regarging how the state exam is straight forward. Very encouraging!
