What Formula is used to get this answer?
by Paul Germain - Jane has a Personal Auto Policy providing PIP coverage. Jane is injured in her vehicle and suffers $12,000 in medical bills and then she dies. How much will her PIP pay for her bills? answer is 14600.
How is the Formula used in this problem?

by Jan Bradburn- - Hi Paul,
Jane has $12,000 in medical bills and PIP will pay 80% = $9600. The death benefit it added to that so $9600 + $5000 = $14,600.
Please let me know if you have other questions.
